MR & MRS JACKS – Guardian Warm Roof – Blackburn

The company fitted a new roof to our leaking, tired looking conservatory polycarbonate lean to with a very classy pitched tiled roof with Velux roof light window. The whole procedure was well organised and hassle free with the installers working through quite inclement weather and everything was done in the stated installation time. The end result is wonderful and gives us a lovely, liveable space to our house. Our neighbours have all commented on how good the conservatory now looks so a big thank you to everyone involved in installation.

We have just had installed a tiled roof on our existing 8 year old conservatory. The entire process was brilliant, from first contact with sales through to completion of the work. All the workmen turned up on time, carried out the work in a professional manner and tidied up after themselves on a daily basis. The guys that carried out the actual roof install, were happy to explain what they were doing as the install progressed. The plasterer and electrician were also excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this company and would be delighted to buy more services from them in the future.

The whole project from start to finish went smoothly. The attention to detail and the polite and effective communication ensured at every stage that our needs were met. The head fitter was particularly effective in interpreting the needs of other tradesmen who still had a say in this home extension on our home. From outline drawings and schematics to achieving permission to proceed all queries were cleared and acted upon. The groundwork was started on time as agreed and from then on things moved at a very fast pace within the first few days the internal sections were up and complete with roof/water tight. Then after the internal work started plus the glazing was completed. First fix services were installed as the build progressed. Plastering was finished at the end of the week and project completed by the following Tuesday. When the heated floor, joinery work and final fix electrical work was completed. By the end of the 2nd week the job was almost complete with just a little painting and decorating required. Our neighbours were very impressed with the site organisation and cleanliness as were we. There was very little disruption considering all materials had to be transported through the house from front to back. The SIP panel system used really help here. The only evidence of work being done was the skip in the drive way and pallets of brick and block which were not there very long as most of the extension was built before it came on site. All in all a most successful project – OMG!

The team that completed the base and brick work were fantastic. Always cheerful and helpful and the new replacement conservatory roof was completed in next to no time at all. The weather conditions they had to work in was awful, however, unlike other companies, they worked through it and were cheerful and helpful at all times. Mark (hopefully I have the name corrected) who fitted the new doors was a gentleman and made a fantastic job. I would recommend his workmanship to anyone. The electricians were polite and helpful and I would recommend their work to anyone including the plasterer who returned and as usual, was friendly, polite and so helpful. Overall I would certainly recommend your Company and would be happy if any of your future customers wanted to look at the workmanship of our new all year round useable conservatory. Thank you so much for all the hard work that was displayed by all the team, I am so happy with the end result and can’t wait to be able to use it on a daily basis.

Be careful when you’re looking at replacing a conservatory roof. We got five quotes, ranging from £7,950 to a ridiculous £21,500 so there are some ‘sharks’ about and some really dodgy systems when you research carefully.

Fortunately this company are not amongst them and I could have saved a massive amount of time by just dealing with them from the off.

So far we are delighted with the work that has been done.

Interestingly the company that quoted £21,500 also suggested that, because the job required scaffolding, it would take 3 weeks.

The owner sent scaffolders who took just over an hour to erect the scaffolding and just under an hour to dismantle it once the job was done. The fitters – admittedly there were three of them – took just 3 day’s to fit the roof and seem to have done a particularly good job although I wasn’t so pleased to find a few screws left on the drive where they had been working…perhaps failing light at the end of a short early February day provides a reasonable excuse.

Two days after the fitting team had finished the plasterers arrived and spent a day completing one of the best, and tidiest, plastering jobs I have come across.
The whole job came to a fraction under £8,500 all done!

The price was reasonable and, although it’s still early days, the job appears to have been very well done. Highly recommended and thanks to all concerned.

Our replacement conservatory roof turned into a much bigger job than we originally planned. Visual staff were always very punctual, and polite. They were happy to share their ideas and suggestions with us throughout the entire job. Yes we had a few minor hiccups along the way, but generally the vast majority of elements we were more than happy with and someone always sorted the small issues out. Your representative and surveyor were experienced and very knowledgeable. Your installers were very experienced,skilled and hard working, leaving the the site clean and tidy but what really stood out about the two gentlemen who installed my new roof, was their refreshingly good and genuine people skills. When I owned an installation company I prided myself on the training that I gave to my installers and representatives. I now find it difficult to accept some of the socially unaware, untrained people who turn up to work on my house so your people were like a breath of fresh air to me.
